Preparing for GCSE's
Pupils who wish to continue their learning journey with us in taking GCSE exams have the option of preparing for up to nine IGCSEs examinations set by Cambridge International Examinations. We are a Cambridge International Exam Centre and are open to external candidates that may wish to sit exams at our centre (please contact the school for details ).
The IGCSE subjects available for our pupils include: English Language, English Literature, Arabic Language, Islamiyat, Mathematics, Co-Ordinated Sciences (to count as two IGCSE grades), History or Geography (or an alternative subject such as Economics in place of these).
Each year, we discuss the options available to pupils for IGCSE exams with the students who wish to continue with us for this stage of their learning, clarifying the provision we offer along with the expectations from them, and gauge pupils’ aptitude for managing their studies and workload in our setting.
Students who continue with us into Year 10 and 11 also take part in all aspects of senior school life as they had done in their foundation years including continued engagement with the Sacred Sciences, Physical Education and other activities within the school community.

The cohort size this year was two pupils. In these years pupils sat IGCSE exams in the following subjects:

Coordinated Sciences (Double Award)
Arabic
Because of the small size of the cohort we cannot publicly share their results but all pupils went on to their chosen sixth-forms and places of higher education.

The cohort this year was 5 pupils. Pupils sat IGCSE exams in the following subjects:
English Language
English Literature
Math
Geography
History
Islamiyaat
Coordinated Sciences (Double Award)
Arabic
