A-Levels & Sixth Form

Pupils who wish to continue their learning journey with us in taking A-Level exams have the option of preparing for up to four A-Level examinations set by Cambridge International Examinations. We are a Cambridge International Exam Centre and are open to external candidates that may wish to sit exams at our centre (please contact the school for details ).

As a students you will be given a range of A-Level choices determined by the following factors:

1. What you studied at GCSE/IGCSE level and the grades you attained.

2. Your interests and potential aptidute in your chosen A-Levels.

3. Your ability to manage your work

4. Academic references

Each year, we discuss the options available to pupils for A-level exams with the students who wish to continue with us for this stage of their learning, clarifying the provision we offer along with the expectations from them, and gauge pupils’ aptitude for managing their studies and workload in our setting.

Students who continue with us into Year 12 and 13 also take part in all aspects of senior school life as they had done in their foundation years including continued engagement with the Sacred Sciences, Physical Education and other activities within the school community.

Going on to University

Since we are a relatively new school many of our alumni are currently still at unversity or preparing to start university studies. However some of our earliest students have already graduated with first class degrees and distinctions from Russell Group Unversities. Others have gone on to pursue careers in engineering, technology, health and finance.

Subjects currently being studied at university by Deenway alumni include: medicine, law, engineering and economics.
